I will overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
